Open Day, Somerset, Sumo DTS

Our thanks to Tony Higgins of W J Higgins and Son at Middlegate Farm for hosting an open day looking at the effects of changing machinery policy and reducing establishment costs on a Somerset farm.
Under scrutiny was how crops and agronomy are affected when reduced input establishment methods of the Sumo DTS are used. What was most apparent to the visiting growers was the quality of the crops following the DTS especially on headlands and fields that had previously had heavy traffic.
As a rough figure, this grower is saving around £20/acre in cost compared to his old system, another reason to choose Sumo!

Thanks to Tony and also Sumo Drill Specialist Marcus Ainley and Sumo Southern Area Manager Richard Hales for an informative and enjoyable afternoon.

‘An Evening with Pottinger’

On 11th February we were very pleased to host ‘An Evening with Pottinger’ at the George Inn in Longbridge Deverill.

Following a welcome drink, the evening kicked off with ‘An introduction to Pottinger’ presentation by Shaun Groom (Pottinger UK General Manager), leading us through the fascinating history of Pottinger, and how they arrived where they are today. Rodney Dingle (Pottinger Area Sales Manager) then talked us through an overview of the impressive range of Pottinger machinery that we are able to offer you.

The evening was rounded off with a delicious carvery, and a thoroughly enjoyable time was had by all. Thank you to everyone who attended, making this such a successful event.

Dairy show round up 2013

Despite the weather, it really was a good day. We were able to catch up with a large number of our existing customers and meet with some new potential customers as well. We welcomed ‘Etienne Pignon’ from EMILY in France who was with us promoting their ever increasing range. We also had ‘Richard Hales’ from SUMO on stand with us to talk through the now well established Sumo products. Last, but by no means least, ‘Rodney Dingle’ from POTTINGER was with us to elaborate on the merits of the huge Pottinger range. We will be there again next year and hope to see you all again. Thanks for joining us on the day and if we missed you, we will be at the AMES show in February next year.
